The "KING Telescope" at the MPIA

This telescope is a unique opportunity to experiment with observation techniques and to familiarise oneself with the properties of modern CCD-cameras used for astronomical observations. In contrast to the "big" telescopes used for "real" science, here one has the time to repeat an observation as many times as one likes - limited only by the weather conditions on the Königstuhl mountain.

Some results of my observations with this telescope can be found on this "pretty images page".
